What is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)?

IPL is a treatment that focuses on treating the surface of your skin to improve the appearance of hyper-pigmentation/brown spots, redness, and tiny veins associated with sun damage. It can also improve skin texture, tone, and color by using a specific wavelength of broad-spectrum light to gently and precisely treat deep below the skin’s surface.

Is IPL painful?

The procedure is gentle, non-invasive, and safe. While everyone has a different pain tolerance, most of our patients experience very minimal discomfort.

What is Laser Genesis?

Laser Genesis is the second component of the 2D Laser Facial. While the IPL Photofacial addresses the surface of the skin, Laser Genesis is a heat-based laser that stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to boost collagen growth, resulting in a more youthful skin tone and texture. The heat generated by the laser helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles, shrink pores, and improve the appearance of rosacea and acne scars. With Laser Genesis, there is no redness, blistering, or downtime following treatment. The benefits of the treatment improve with time as new collagen is created, restoring a smooth, youthful appearance to your face.

Is Laser Genesis Painful?

Most patients report little to no pain associated with this treatment. In fact, a Laser Genesis treatment is often described as relaxing and therapeutic. The laser provides a warming sensation to the skin similar to the sensation one feels when standing near a fire. While there is no downtime, you may have some redness post-treatment that can last up to 24 hours.

What are the benefits of a 2D laser facial?

While each of these treatments can be done separately, the 2D Laser Facial combines the skin rejuvenating superpowers of the IPL Photofacial with the collagen-boosting effects of Laser Genesis to treat all layers of the skin simultaneously for incredible, age-defying results.
